3 Tips to Bring Spring Into Your Home

Whilst there is still a chill in the air, spring is most definitely on its way bringing with it hope and optimism for what has been an uncertain start to 2021. So, there is no better time to start bringing springtime vibes into your homes.

Natalie Evans, founding director of home staging expert, Little Barn Door, shares with us her three essential tips to help you bring a refreshing spring-filled energy into your home as we move through this (hopefully!) final stage of lockdown.

Use your windows to get inspiration from the outside world

Whether you have bifolds overlooking a landscaped garden, or windows skimming the tree tops - take inspiration from what you see through your window to inspire your home. This is a great way to connect your room with the outside world.

By taking a moment to reflect upon what you can see, you can create a palette of colour, an array of textures and collection of patterns to inspire your room decor. Using your view to add touches of the outside world to your room will help bring a refreshing sense of unity to your home.

Be creativeSpring-theme decorated table

There are so many treasures to be found outdoors, and quite often we walk straight past them. Be creative this springtime and take inspiration from what you find outdoors to complete your home decor.

Whether you sketch a view to frame, collect stones for a table centerpiece or create a floral display, being creative with your outdoor finds can be a great way to refresh your home mindfully and on a budget this springtime.

Create calm with colour

Whilst moody blues and woodland greens have been present in recent wall colour decor trends, a move to a neutral wall may be the key to a calm mood this springtime. Choosing a light-enhancing paint colour may increase the appearance of light in your home bringing the feeling of freedom and space, which after months indoors this may bring great relief for all. Combined with a neutral wall, accents of blue, green and yellow are sure to bring tranquility, peace and joy to your home.
